Gordon Highlanders

Year: 1899

A military parade in traditional Scottish regalia, with bagpipes and soldiers on horseback. But many of the spectators who have come to admire the parade are clearly more interested in the presence of the camera than in the event itself. A policeman armed with a baton tries to prevent the curious from getting too close to the lens. In vain.
