Expedition of HRH the Duke of the Abruzzi to K2

The expedition began at the Rawalpindi Railway Station, in Pakistan, crossed through the city of Srinagar in the Cashmere Valley, Dal Lake, and Sind Province. Bearers were recruited, and tasks handed out. In the town of Skardu, the expedition allowed themselves a brief stopover, the time to play a game of polo. Then, they crossed the Indus River and Punmah torrents, before taking in the spectacular Karakoram panorama. But the most arduous task still lays in front of His Royal Highness the Duke of the Abruzzi; will he reach the summit of K2?
