A brief History: Filmens Vovehals
(Daredevil of the Movie)

This film to promote Emilie Sannom (1886-1931) is made up of extracts from eight films produced by Danish film company Filmfabriken Danmarks. The title Filmens Vovehals, literally means Films of a daredevil.
Emilie Sannom had more than thirty or so films to her name. She started at the age of 23 in Apachepigens hævn (The revenge of the apache girl) in 1909, a film by Cal Alsrup. She also appeared in the comedy of manners København ved Nat where she performed a dishevelled primitive dance.
Her career was cut short tragically when her parachute refused to open during an air show in 1931.
