Why can't films be downloaded?
The existence and free access of the EUROPA FILM TREASURES website are possible thanks to the collaboration of the film libraries and archives that represent the beneficiaries. Films are only made available in streaming, with no downloading possible. This point is extremely important because it reflects the agreement made between EUROPA FILM TREASURES and participating film libraries, an agreement that guarantees the website's durability and enrichment in terms of films.
Do I have the right to show films presented on EUROPA FILM TREASURES in public?
No. The rights are only handed over by film libraries for private, strictly non-commercial showings. You must contact the film library or archive concerned directly to negotiate a public showing even in a non-commercial context like in a school or in non profit-making organisations.
